Unfortunately for me this is the closest post office to my place. I have been going to if several times a week for the past couple of months; I always go around 8:40 am to queue and be the 1st or 2nd customer as I need to arrive to work at 9.30 and is 20 minutes away. Almost every week at least once they open late 9.10, 09:12 … which makes me have to run to work. Once they didn’t come and one of the guys at the bookstore where the post office is was telling a friend that she just called to say was going to be 45 minutes late, I overheard it and ask her straight why she wasn’t telling all of us in the queue too, not only her friend.
I can’t recommend this place if you are on a tight schedule.

Very poor customer service at Lewisham Post Office today. The older lady with glasses was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful to multiple customers.
Staff in customer-facing roles should treat people with basic respect. This experience was frustrating and needs improvement.

The experience was soooo bad.!The staff often didn’t work on time, and when one of the staff members greeted us, the attitude suddenly became very bad, even though we hadn’t said anything and were just smiling.

The most chronically understaffed post office I've ever seen. My heart sinks every time I'm forced to use it. It's often closed due to "unforseen circumstances" which are in fact extremely easily foreseen: it's what inevitably happens when management refuses to pay enough staff to be on shift. The queue is always enormous and people standing in it get predictably aggravated. It's unsurprisingly frustrating to wait 30+ minutes to run a 3 minute errand, and the poor staff have to deal with the anger that's none of their faults. I can't begin to imagine how stressful working there must be.
My one star goes to the terrible management of this post office. Your commitment to providing just under the absolute possible minimum of staff at all times never ceases to amaze.

This Post Office seems in a terminal and managed declined. Messy and dirty, with all self machines out of use. Only one person serving the travel money and postage desks combined, which leads to very long queues in a town centre branch. If you can use Royal Mail services elsewhere, try that first!
